Kadambari

This is a biopic of Kadambari Devi, the sister by marriage of Rabindranath Tagore, and little girl in-law of Debendranath Tagore. Rabindranath’s senior sibling Jyotirindranath Tagore wedded Kadambari. In 1868 when Kadambari came to Jorasanko Thakur Bari, Rabidranath was 7 years of age and Kadambari was 2 years senior than Rabindranath. Very soon Rabindranath turned into Kadambari’s companion and close friend. She enlivened youthful Rabindranath in making many out of his sonnets and melodies. On 9 December 1883, Rabindranath wedded Mrinalini Devi. Four months after the marriage on 21 April (1884), Kadambari ended it all. The chief caught these subtleties, and extraordinarily the connection among Kadambari and Rabindranath in this film.
